UEFA awards media rights for Oceania

SBS and ESPN have been awarded media rights in Oceania for the 2009-201s season, UEFA has announced.

SBS, a free broadcaster, will air a single live match each night of the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League tournaments in Australia. Each matchweek, SBS will also air a hightlights programme and delayed matches. The UEFA Champions League magazine programme will also air through this broadcaster. Rights will be used on the internet as well as on mobiles.

ESPN will broadcast two live matches per matchweek of both tournaments and provide comprehensive coverage of matches on a delayed basis. They will also air a highlights programme and exploit the rights online and on mobiles.

Both ESPN and SBS will show the annual UEFA Super Cup, which will be held in August of each year.
