EURO 2012 media rights tender opens in 2009

The tender process for the media rights to the UEFA EURO 2012 in Europe will commence near the beginning of next year.

Europe will be separated into major territories that broadcasters and other media companies can make offers for. The UEFA EURO 2012 media rights will be offered on a 'platform-neutral basis,' which means those holding rights can use them on a variety of media forms.

Interested parties need to apply UEFA by 20 January 2009. Those approved will then receive the necessary tender documentation once the official tender process has begun.
