Dutch John de Mol’s Talpa Capital outbid fellow Dutch broadcasters RTL Netherlands and SBS Broadcasting and agreed with Sportfive agency a broadcasting rights deal of around €5.4m for all six away games of the Dutch team in the FIFA 2006 World Cup qualifiers. De Mol will show the games on the Dutch channel Nickelodeon with its parent group MTV.
