Israeli Charlton continue broadcasting on pay-per-view

The Cable and Satellite Broadcasting Council is taking a tough line over the rights agency and pay TV Company plans for a pay-per-view channel. Despite, the Council has given Charlton a temporary permission to continue broadcasting the Israeli and English Premier Leagues games on pay-per-view for the 2004/05 season. A weekly football package will cost NIS 29.90 (around � 5) which will include live games from both of the leagues. Charlton TV signed a sublicensing deal with Israeli commercial broadcaster Channel 10 to broadcast one Israeli Premier League game per week.
