Spain last major European nation without EURO 2008 TV deal
EURO 2008 - 30 October, 2007
With all the TV turmoil in Spain, the national also is one of the few that does not have a deal in place for EURO 2008.
SPORTFIVE has been in negotiations with the nation's top broadcasters, but nothing has been close to being finalised.
The nation also has been beset by a Primera Liga TV squabble between Mediapro and Sogecable that now only appears to be concluding.
UEFA had hoped for EUR 600 million from the sale of European broadcast rights, and has raked in EUR 410 from France, Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom. Spain now is the last major territory not to have signed on.
