Despite a push from BBC Wales, Sky Sports retained the rights to cover Welsh international football until 2012.
Included in the deal is the qualifying matches for the 2010 World Cup and the 2012 European Championships. The broadcaster also will show a series of U21 matches.
Despite a high-profile package from BBC, the FA of Wales felt Sky's package was better all around.
"We are delighted to be able to continue the highly successful rapport with Sky which we have enjoyed for the last three years," FAW boss David Collins said. "The increased funding under the new TV deal will be of huge advantage to the game in Wales."
