England's attempt to qualify for the 2010 World Cup will be aired by Setanta, which has landed the rights to most of the national team's away qualifying matches.

Setanta has rights to 90 qualifiers, including England's away matches against Croatia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Andorra. The Ukraine match is not included in the deal. ITV has the rights to England's home matches.

Pay-broadcaster Setanta also has the rights to Scotland's away qualifiers against the Netherlands, Norway, Macedonia and Iceland. Wales' home matches against Russia, Finland and Azerbaijan also fall under Setanta's umbrella, as do Northern Ireland's away qualifiers against the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia. Ireland's matches in Bulgaria, Cyprus and Montenegro also are under Setanta's blanket.

Setanta secured additional qualifier rights as part of a package with rights holders SPORTFIVE and Kentaro.

A GBP 150 million payout by Setanta gives it the live rights to England's home friendlies, under-21 internationals, the Community Shield and FA Trophy.
