Show TV wins centralised UEFA broadcasting rights

Show TV will be the exclusive broadcast partner for UEFA in Turkey starting a three-year deal this year. Coverage will include the UEFA Cup quarterfinals, semifinals and finals, as well as the UEFA Super Cup.

The deal is the first to be agreed upon under the centralised marketing concept for the final stages of the UEFA Cup and the UEFA Super Cup match.

Show TV was awarded the contract after a process in which several broadcasters showed strong interest. It will broadcast the first-pick match plus highlights on its free-to-air channel, and all other games on its sister pay TV networks, SkyTurk and Digiturk.

“We are delighted that Show TV will become UEFA's partner in Turkey for the new UEFA Cup broadcast rights structure,” said UEFA Chief Executive Lars-Christer Olsson. “We look forward to working with them to build up this great competition in this important market.”
