CHANNEL ONE SECURES RIGHTS FOR WORLD CUP FINAL

Nationwide TV Channel One will broadcast the World Cup final in Russia, the company announced last month. “The 9 July final will be broadcast by Channel One,†Vasily Kiknadze, director of sports production for the station, told Echo Moskvy Radio. Sport, another of the country’s TV stations, also will broadcast World Cup games. However, they will be presented via tape delay. The Russian national team failed to qualify for the tournament. |
