UEFA has announced the concession of the Austrian Champions League broadcast rights for the period 2006-2009 to free-to-air broadcaster ORF and to pay TV broadcaster Premiere. The agreement means a continuation of the current coverage, in which ORF shows the first-choice match of the week and highlights on both nights of a match week and all games are shown on Premiere. Both broadcasters will also show the weekly magazine programme.

UEFA chief executive Lars-Christer Olsson said: “UEFA is delighted to continue working with its existing partners ORF and Premiere, whose professionalism and experience in the sports broadcasting field add so much to UEFA Champions League coverage in Austria. This deal will guarantee great exposure for the competition offering the fans in Austria all kinds of opportunities to enjoy the UEFA Champions League experience.”
