Benfica to launch its TV channel

Club president Luis Filipe Vieira has announced that the club is to launch its TV channel by the end of the year worth EU 1.5m in annual sponsorship revenue. The project follows in the wake of the construction of the new training centre plus a membership drive and is part of an overall push to fully commercialize the club. “In the electoral programme, one of the priorities was the training centre,” Vieira said. “We had to build that and we are doing. Now there are other projects that are already in the public domain like the TV channel that we will make a reality during this latest mandate.”
