Inter features Mandarin language shirts

The Serie A club has received the approval of the Italian Football League (FIGC) to have Chinese characters on their team shirts for the round on Sunday 16 October. The club is set to wear a shirt with the name of their sponsor Pirelli written in Mandarin in the match against Livorno, to thank the Chinese participants in the current Pirelli workshop in Milan.

However, with Serie A matches broadcast live to millions of fans in China, the idea will be appreciated by Chinese fans, who in June voted the club the most-loved team in China in a poll conducted by state broadcaster CCTV, Titan Sports publication Sports Weekly and internet portal Sina.com.
