Glazer supports the collective rights deal

Malcolm Glazer, new owner of the English Premier League club Manchester United, has assured he will not seek to change the collective TV rights agreements following his takeover of the club. Fellow top-flight clubs were concerned that Glazer will sell Manchester United’s rights separately to make more money, potentially cutting income for smaller clubs.

Glazer's sons Joel, Avram and Bryan met Football Association and Premier League officials and Sports Minister Richard Caborn, to dismiss the concerns. "Crucially, on the matter of collective selling of our television rights, we have received an unequivocal commitment to continue on the current basis," FA Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore said.
