The Football Association of Ireland landed one of the biggest one-time broadcast deals, in setting up TV rights for the Ireland-Germany 2008 European Championship qualifier.

German public broadcaster ARD paid EUR 5 million to broadcast the match, one of the largest sums ever paid to air a single match.

Kentaro, a Switzerland-based sports rights agency, distributes the rights for Ireland national home matches.
