The Spanish Primera Liga endorsed three new international television deals, which runs for three years, until the end of the 2008/09.

Arena, the German cable consortium has purchased the rights to broadcast the Spanish matches in Germany, in another blow to rival pay channel Premiere, which had previously held the rights.
Dutch Talpa TV, part of Talpa Media Holding owned by media mogul John de Mol, has also acquired the Spanish rights. Talapa will share the Spanish rights with chellomedia Sport 1, according to their recent football content pool agreement.
