Italian Serie A rights have been granted in Turkey to 24 TV channel, marking that channel's first foray into major European football.

The deal, brokered by Media Partners & Silva, gives 24 terrestrial and cable and satellite rights throughout the nation. Milan Channel programmes also will be distributed in Turkey by 24.

"We're very pleased to have this partnership. This is an important milestone for 24 in Turkey," said Serkan Korkmaz, the sports director of 24 TV channel. "Serie A is one of the most prestigious and recognisable sports brands in the world. I hope, our understanding of 'sharing the joy of football' and 'celebrating it with the fans' would reflect on our broadcast."
