UEFA has struck deals to broadcast the 2008 European Championships with entities in China and Japan.
CCTV, which is the largest national free-to-air broadcaster in China with a 350-million home base has taken the rights for all 31 matches. SINA.com has the new media rights in that nation.
The TV matches will be aired on CCTV5 or CCTV, according to uefa.com.
TBS has taken some of the championship slate in Japan for free-to-air TV. TBS's coverage will be supplemented by some coverage from WOWOW TV.
