UEFA signs TV deals in Ireland

TV 3, Irish free broadcaster, has won the first-choice to screen live matches for every match week between the years 2009 to 2012 for the UEFA Cup. They will also have a weekly highlights programme.
All other UEFA Cup live matches will be broadcasted by Setanta Ireland and SentantaSports 1.
Both winning broadcasters will be able to use these rights online at tv3.ie and setanta.com and on mobile networks. Irish football fans will receive maximum exposure to all of the matches during the UEFA Cup as a result.
UEFA commented, "We are very happy to have renewed UEFA Cup agreements with our incumbent broadcasters TV 3 and Setanta in the Republic of Ireland."
