The Bundesliga will reach South America through a U.S.-based pay entity.
The Deutsche Football League has a rights deal with ESPN+ to air Bundesliga matches in nine South American nations, including Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela. The Bundesliga will also be aired on free-to-air television in Costa Rica and Guatemala.
That comes on the heels of Thailand's UBC and Indonesia's Indovision Digital acquiring the rights to Bundesliga matches. The league also has hit sub-Saharan Africa through the African subsidiary of Canal Plus, the French pay-television broadcaster.
