Search stats show support for Harry Redknapp
|
In a month of intense speculation surrounding the futures of several managers in the English Premiership, Harry Redknapp's name was the one on the lips of many fans, particularly following his departure from Portsmouth FC. Harry Redknapp was the most searched-for term on specialist football search engine Megasoccer.com in November, proving even more popular than esteemed counterpart Sir Alex Ferguson, who reached the impressive landmark of 1000 games with Manchester United last month. Redknapp enjoyed great success at Fratton Park and, judging by the interest shown in him by supporters online, his services are still in great demand. Redknapp has already been linked with several posts since leaving Portsmouth, including the manager's job at Southampton, and though he has said he would like a short break from the game, his record, experience and evident popularity will no doubt see him return to the dug-out before long. Mike Flynn, C.E.O. of Fast Web Media, the company behind Megasoccer.com, said: “While Harry's departure was obviously a blow to the Pompey faithful, fans have been keen to find out more about the man many of them would like to see in charge at their own club. Megasoccer is the perfect place for them – and for club chairmen – to do so!" Top Ten Searches for November 1. Harry Redknapp 2. Dennis Bergkamp 3. Neil Mellor 4. Sir Alex Ferguson 5. Glenn Hoddle 6.
