Wigan Athletic in a deal with ProZone

The Premier League club signed a three year deal with sports analysis company ProZone. ProZone will provide manager Paul Jewell with a set of detailed tactical and fitness information. Commenting on the deal to work with the club, ProZone Managing Director, Ged Holmes said: “This three year deal is great news for us as it continues our growth within the English game and more importantly gives us the chance to work with one of the best young managers in the country…Within England we work in partnership with the vast majority of Premiership clubs and over a quarter of all League sides. The accuracy and depth of our data is second to none and I’m more than confident that by continuing to provide a service and product that is tailored to the individual requirements of every club we will continue this growth.”

ProZone uses fully patented technology to retrieve statistical and positional data that has been captured by up to 12 sensors within a stadium every 0.1 seconds. This provides coaches with information on the tactical and fitness performance of both the team and individual players.
