Tottenham Hotspur to use AMISCO player performance system

The Premier League club has signed a five-year deal with Sport Universal Process (SUP) for the AMISCO player performance system. AMISCO’s market share is nearly a third of the Premier League. AMISCO system is also employed by Chelsea, Aston Villa, Portsmouth and West Bromwich Albion in addition to a number of major European clubs. The AMISCO system works by capturing data on the movement of all 22 players in a game through sensors installed in the stadium. This data is then sent to one of the company’s production centers and is turned into detailed reports for the club client on the team and on individual players. The information can be used by coaches in the preparation of matches, analyzing their own sides and those of their opponents in the past.

SUP faces competition in the Premier League from a rival system used by Leeds-based ProZone, who count Birmingham City, Blackburn Rovers and Manchester United among its clients.

Antoine David, business director and inventor of the AMISCO system, said: “We are hopeful that our market share will continue to grow in the UK in the next few months- with the objective to consolidate our position as the market leader in Europe for player tracking and analysis technology through the AMISCO system.”

“The AMISCO system will allow us to analyze information on all players competing at the top level, not only in the UK, but also those playing in all the major leagues throughout Europe,” the club Sporting Director Damien Comolli commented to mdia.
