As part of the deal with the new Premiergoals.com site, Chinese internet portal Sohu now has broadband rights for 16 English clubs.
The rights are in effect immediately and run through 2009-2010.
Premiergoals.com was founded to bring the Premier League to a Chinese-language site, with content geared toward China. The dual purpose also was to pitch mobile phone coverage.
A Sohu executive said there are 30 million fans of the league in China.
Aston Villa, Birmingham, Blackburn, Bolton, Derby, Everton, Fulham, Liverpool, Manchester City, Newcastle, Portsmouth, Reading, Tottenham, West Ham and Wigan are the clubs covered by the deal.
