Chelsea signs with AMISCO

Adjust font size: Decrease font Enlarge font

The Premier League club has signed a three-year deal with the player performance system operators. The system developed by Sports Universal Process (SUP) is also used by European Champions Liverpool and by Aston Villa, Portsmouth and West Bromwich Albion in England, but it boasts a total of 28 football clients across Europe including Real Madrid, Valencia, Villareal, Marseille, Bayer Leverkusen and SV Hamburg.

The system works by tracking the movement of all 22 players throughout a game with data captured by fixed sensors in the stadium which is then sent to production centers where it is analyzed into detailed reports on teams and individual players. AMISCO, a competitor to player management system ProZone and the Video Coach both based in England, was founded by Frenchman Antoine David.
