The English Football League and broadband sports publisher Premium TV have renegotiated the terms of their ‘FLPTV’ joint venture since previous deal was a loss-making for Premium TV. This joint venture was set up in 2000 and hosts 65 Football League club sites, seven Premier League club sites and four Football Conference club sites. The Football League acquired Premium TV’s stake in FLPTV and agreed a three year deal whereby Premium TV become a service provider in return for fixed fees and commission on revenues generated from subscriptions, mobile, betting and e-commerce. Premium TV will also act as non exclusive agent on behalf of FLPTV for advertising and sponsorship, and has already generated £ 38m in contracts with UK Nationwide Building Society and US based brewers Coors Rod Henwood.
