Bayern Munich launches Chinese website

The Bundesliga club has developed the website in order to extend their fan base in Asia, and especially China. The site is to be hosted by Shanghai-based sports internet company SportsCN which provides sports information and broadband products and services to the Chinese market in. "The website is not simply a direct mirror translation of the German version of our official website," said Bayern new media boss Stefan Mennerich. "It was important for us to have an offering that was tailored precisely to the needs of our Chinese fan-base and through the expertise and experience offered by SportsCN we have been able to achieve that."
