The Premier League club has launched RedTV, an online service which will give fans access to match highlights, exclusive news and interviews, and live audio match commentary. The new website was developed in cooperation with digital rights company, Premium TV. Using Premium TV’s searchable video archive, RedTV also allows fans to download video clips of action from the last three seasons. Subscribers access the video clips via simple drop-down fields, searching under pre-defined content search terms such as ‘player’, ‘goals’, ‘great saves’ etc. Oliver Slipper, commercial director at Premium TV, said: “Premium TV allows football clubs to deliver to their fans the content they want to watch, when they want to watch it; and generates an additional source of revenue for the clubs.”
