Premier League clubs turn to Scout7

Two English Premier League clubs will rely upon Scout7 for help with their scouting systems.

Scout7 is a provider of scouting and management solutions. It will now join forces with Charlton Athletic and Portsmouth in two-year contracts.

The agreements call for the installation of the ProScout7 player recruitment management system supplied by the company, enabling their scouting operations to be managed and administered online, securely via the internet.

In addition, some existing Premier League clients have agreed to renew their usage of ProScout7.

Blackburn Rovers will continue with the system until at least 2009, and Everton will continue to use the system for the next two seasons.

"Scout7 provide the most comprehensive solution currently available on the market," said Charlton General Manager Andrew Mills. "It has information on players from countries all over the world, whether they are established first team players or outstanding young prospects currently playing at international level.

"I believe that the technology potentially allows us to work with greater objectivity and efficiency in the recruitment process and with all the information on youth information available, it can benefit not just the first team recruitment staff, but also staff in the academy."

Scout7 plans on expanding its database of information to include domestic football in Africa, as well as improving the level of general player information available from players competing in South America and Asia. Scout7 has systems implemented at more than 60 professional football clubs throughout Europe and now have fifteen Premier League clients.
