Mourinho tops Megasoccer search chart

Despite receiving a two-match ban, a fine from UEFA, and being charged by the FA for allegedly 'tapping-up' Ashley Cole, José Mourinho was the most searched-for man in football last month, according to the latest figures from soccer search engine Megasoccer.com. Having already claimed the Carling Cup at the end of February, it was another great month for the club on the pitch as they moved a step closer to clinching their first league title for 50 years and booked their place in the Champions League quarterfinals with victory over Barcelona. However, the ever-controversial Portuguese coach was in the headlines more for his actions off the field than his team's excellent performances. Fans were still eager to find out more about the man who has taken English football by storm this season as Mourinho topped the search stats, closely followed by Cole and departed Manchester City boss Kevin Keegan. Michael Flynn, C.E.O. of Fast Web Media - the company behind Megasoccer.com - said: “Mourinho has had an instant impact on the Premiership and, love him or loathe him, you can't help but be intrigued by his style. Megasoccer searchers from all over the world certainly have been in their quest to get the low-down on Chelsea's super-confident coach." Top Ten Searches on Megasoccer.com in March 2005: Jose Mourinho, Ashley Cole, Kevin Keegan, Uefa Champions League , Thierry Henry, Alan Shearer, Michael Owen, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Manchester United, Didier Drogba.
