Imagenio to broadcast football on ADSL PPV

Telefonica's ADSL pay-TV service secured a two-year deal with Sogecable, the Spanish pay-TV broadcaster, and offer to its subscribers in Madrid, Alicante and Barcelona a pay-per-view services to watch football League and Cup matches over its platform. The service is offered at €8 per match compared to €12 on TV platforms. Cable operators ONO, Auna and AOC expressed exasperation and concerns over the deal and demands Sogecable to renegotiate their current contracts.
