Coventry likes cash-free environment

Adjust font size: Decrease font Enlarge font
English Coventry is trying to develop a cashless home stadium in Ricoh Arena.

The club signed an agreement with German company AG have to introduce technology that would provide steps toward being cashless.

AG has helped develop a cashless environment at RheinEnergie Stadium in Cologne. AG runs a business plan that does not entail investment by the client. A whole package involves all cost of payment system technology, personnel, payment clearing and cards. All financial and legal services plus comprehensive knowledge in stadium consulting are included in the total concept.

Coventry already has taken steps. Fans were able to purchase food and beverages from stadium kiosks using a card. The hope was that it would cut down on waiting times without cash transactions.
