Premier League club announced plans for a £150m sports and entertainment complex which includes hotel and private flats, a full-size roof-top football pitch, casino, shops, restaurants and bars. Plan was lodged to Glasgow City Council, and if it will be approved work should begin during the first half of 2006. The club hopes the new campus will create more than 2,000 full-time jobs and generate substantial profits to help ease its current debt. Business consultants Deloitte MCS estimates that the Ibrox Sands Entertainment Complex will bring in over £29m of additional revenue each year and have a significant impact on the regeneration of the area.
