The Primera Liga club is considering the possibility of selling its Vicente Calderon stadium, once it has been rezoned residential by local authorities, to cover debts amounting to €270m including €66m in unpaid taxes. The club, whose major shareholder and former president Jesus Gil died in May, will move to the La Peineta Olympic stadium while awaiting the construction of another venue.
