Viktor Yushchenko, Ukrainian President, has stated that regardless of financial obstacles, Ukraine will contribute the four originally planned facilities for EURO 2012, Deutsche Presse Agentur reports.

This is following reports in the Polish media claiming that Poland would host in six venues during the competition, leaving Ukraine with only two. Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk are the two Ukrainian cities that are in the advanced stages of preparation, and Kiev's stadium has experienced some delays. Lviv, the fourth city is currently well behind schedule with a stadium that has yet to be built.

UEFA president Michel Platini has insisted that Poland and Ukraine will host the tournament using the most prepared cities in either country.
