The first of ten venues in South Africa has been completed in preparation for the 2010 World Cup. Pretoria's Loftus Versfeld stadium's renovation are now done, and it will host a South African Premier Soccer League match this coming Saturday.

The stadium now seats 50,000 and a new roof has been placed. Pretoria's Loftus Versfeld is to be used for the Confederations Cup in June, accompanied by stadiums Johannesburg, Bloemfontein and Rustenburg. The other three venues have yet to be completed.

There are six other grounds that are scheduled to be completed by the end of 2009.

Loftus Versfeld first match will be between Kaizer Chiefs and Moroka Swallows. The Blue Bulls, rugby team, will call the stadium home. Three matches between British and Irish Lions and South Africa's Springboks will be held there towards the end of June.
