Bolton Wanderers has been granted more time to begin work on its academy

The Premier League club which has been given full planning permission for 13 training pitches and the conversion of a building into a football school was given outline planning permission to build an indoor training centre on the condition its plans were reported to the council by January 2005. However, the club requested the council grant an extension of three years for it to overcome a number of hurdles that are currently holding the project up.
