Las Palmas lost its exclusivity on its ground
|
Since the club has been relegated to the country’s Segunda B (third division), the board of the Canary Islands sports authority has decided that the club must allow the local university to use its ground. The club appealed against the decision and argues that the number of season ticket holders, fans, club history and its image abroad should still entitle the exclusive use of its own stadium. President Manuel GarcÃÂÂa Navarro provided recently €2m to allow the club to escape a winding-up order.
