Watford buys Vicarage Road stadium

Watford Leisure plc the company owns the Championship club, issued a statement to the London Stock Exchange that the club has repurchased the freehold on its Vicarage Road stadium for £7.6m. The repurchase was funded by £4m provided by certain directors of Watford Leisure, £2m advance from company's bankers Barclays, and additional £ 1.6m was provided from the 'Let's Buy Back the Vic Campaign'.
