The Major League Soccer club is set to get a new 20,000-seater stadium in new plans unveiled by its owners, Kroenke Sports Enterprises and local government chiefs. The company has revealed plans to develop open land to stadium, youth soccer fields, retail development and a new Commerce City civic centre. The US$ 130m project will be owned by the city and operated by the club, and construction works are planed to begin in early 2005 with a projected opening date in 2007.
