Hamilton install new playing surface

The First Division club has completed the installation of a £400,000 synthetic surface at its News Douglas Park stadium. All the club’s teams, from five-year-olds to the first team, will train and play on the new surface, which attracted much criticism from players and coaches. That surface has been earmarked as the venue for a high profile friendly between Spanish Primera Liga club Barcelona and Italian Serie A club Lazio schedualed for August 12.
