New hospitality system to service fans at RICOH arena

MICROS-Fidelio UK Ltd, a wholly- owned subsidiary of MICROS Systems Inc, has partnered with Arena Coventry Ltd & FMC, the stadia catering specialists of Compass Group's sport and leisure sector, to implement MICROS 9700 Hospitality Management System (HMS) throughout the arena's entire hospitality facilities.

The fully integrated MICROS 9700 HMS solution will will allow the venue's hospitality management team to overhaul current processes including stock control, key decision making, and reporting. With 150 MICROS electronic point-of-sale (EPOS) terminals, including 30 handheld terminals, the MICROS solution will improve customer service levels and elevate the overall visitor experience.

The GBP 113 million arena, home of Championship club Coventry City, is a multi- purpose venue which includes a boutique suites hotel, Bar & Bistro, a health and fitness club, and the the largest casino in the UK. Beside of the club's matches, the arena hosts high-profile concerts along with England Under-21 and Under-19 international matches, a Heineken Cup rugby semi-final and an American football game. Such a large hospitality venue, can process millions of transactions each day.

The system manages transaction activity and will provide the arena with real time reporting for concourse managers, allowing critical decisions to be made during an event.
