Valerenga stadium plans anger politicians

Adjust font size: Decrease font Enlarge font
First Division club Valerenga intends to build their new stadium in central Oslo despite opposition from politicians. Valerenga, currently in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers, want to build their new stadium in the Bjorvika area. Politicians, however, argue that a plan already exists to build accommodation in the area rather than a stadium. ”That train has left the station. “We don’t wish to change our plans,” local politician Rina Brunsell Harsvik told media. The club however refused to comment on the matter. “We don’t wish to have this discussion through the media. We are carrying out own inquiry, but I don’t want to say anything about how far that is coming along,” director Kjetil Siem told media.
