Celtic choose to revamp training ground

The Premier League club is planning a ‘multi-million pound’ revamp of their current Barrowfield site. Out of three possible options, the prospect of staying at Barrowfield is more appealing to the club. “The whole area is getting a lift,” said Peter Lawwell, club’s chief executive, “Don’t forget we spend £1.5m on youth development at the moment. We just need the facilities along that will match the coaching we’ve got,” Lawwell added.
