Real Madrid's Bernabeu new playing surface

The Primera Liga pitch surface at Santiago Bernabéu stadium has been replaced after various footballers concluded that the old pitch, laid down in 2002, had been damaged during the winter. The new pitch was transported from the Netherlands, split into 2.5m wide by 14m long blocks, in 15 refrigerated trucks.
