Salt Lake council keen to build new stadium

The local authority in keen to build a 22,000 seats stadium that would house Major League Soccer club Real Salt Lake. The venue which will also host concerts and other sporting events will cost around US$60m to build. Club owner Dave Checketts and Salt Lake City Mayor Rocky Anderson has held talks with Earl Holding, owner the land property which was found suitable for the venue.
