Preston North End signs deal with PUMA

Preston North End FC has announced that it has signed a deal with PUMA. The three-year arrangement makes PUMA the official supplier of the technical and replica kit and of training wear for the club

Preston North End Chairman Derek Shaw said: "We are delighted to be entering into a partnership with PUMA. Like ourselves, they have a proud heritage in the game of football and a strong internationally renowned brand and this is the sort of partnership we want for this football club as we look to further enhance our own brand and reputation. We have extended our relationship with Enterprise until the end of the 2010/2011 season as well and we think that PUMA are the perfect partner to show off the great support that Enterprise give the Club through their sponsorship deal."

PUMA UK Marketing Director Roger Harrison said, "PUMA football product has been worn by some of footballs greatest legends over the years, from Pele to Cryuff. We are thrilled to be working with one of English football's most famous clubs and its fans. We are confident that through this partnership we will not only increase exposure of PUMA in the North West of England but also deliver a strong service to the club, team and its fans."

The new home kit is scheduled to be launched on April 23rd. Darren Ferguson, the club owner, has seen the shirts and is confident that the fans will like them . He said, "I am delighted that the Club have appointed PUMA as our new technical partner. I said when I came into the building that Preston North End is a proper football club and PUMA are a proper football brand and I am really excited about teaming up with them. I've already seen the home and away kits for next season and I know the fans will love them and I look forward to seeing the terraces packed with people in the new kits at the start of next season. This Club has a great history and I think the new kit reflects that history as well as looking exciting and new ready for the challenges ahead and for building this Club, growing to where we all want to be."

Genesis Sports, PUMA's Licensee for PRO Teamsports for the UK & Ireland, indicate that the launch of the Preston North End PUMA season 2010-2011 Home Kit will be in April, Traningwear in June and Away Kit will be in July. The Head of Sports Sponsorship, Genesis Sports, Russell Thomas remarked, "It is fantastic to announce the development of our relationship with Preston North End FC, we have supplied with the Club with own-label leisurewear for a number of years and are delighted to extend our partnership into Technical Kit and Training Wear in association with PUMA for the next three years. We look forward to working closely with the Club on the development of technical product ranges for both supporters and playing staff alike."
