Insurance companies Prudential and Aviva have been reported by the Daily Mail to be in discussions with England’s Football Association regarding possible sponsorship of the FA Cup.

Energy company E.ON, previous sponsor of the event, has chosen not to renew its sponsorship next season, thus FA is seeking a replacement. E.ON was sponsor of the FA Cup for four years. The contract is believed to be worth GBP 32 million.

Meanwhile, the Football League is seeking new sponsorship to replace beverage conglomerate Coca-Cola, who has opted not to continue with the League. The new contract is believed to be between GBP 7.5 million and GBP 9 million.
