According to Sportspromedia, English Liverpool’s GBP 80 million sponsorship from Standard Chartered is paying off for the bank.

The sponsorship agreement, which hit the world record for shirt sponsorship at the time, has given Standard Chartered high dividends and improved operating profit reports. The bank expects to profit revenue to reach GBP 3 million for this year. Stocks closed up 3.7 per cent yesterday, with the bank’s overall value totaled at GBP 31 billion as of the end of the third quarter.

The bank also announced, days after the initial sponsorship deal was revealed, that it would stock the shirts in Asian branches, which would boost Liverpool’s overall revenue.
