Olympique Lyonnais signed with Adidas

French Olympique Lyonnais has paired up with Adidas in a ten-year deal, set to begin at the start of the 2010 season.

The news comes on the heels of a dissolved relationship with Noel Soccer, a partner of sporting giant Umbro.

While Olympique Lyonnais will continue wearing their Umbro kits for the remainder of the current season, the deal with Adidas became official last week.

As a result, Adidas has been named the new exclusive supplier of sports equipment for the club.

Olympique Lyonnais will be paid a minimum flat rate payment, along with royalties from the sale of merchandise featuring the club and Adidas logos.

Sales figures may influence the value of the deal, which will help to bring exposure to both parties in a mutually beneficial agreement.
