Swansea City signed shirt deal with 32 Red

Welsh Swansea City has signed the largest sponsorship contract in the history of the club, after landing a deal with betting firm 32 Red.

The agreement was announced earlier this week, making 32Red the official shirt sponsor of the Football League Championship club.  

While a firm figure has yet to be revealed, Western Mail reports that the deal represents a six-figure revenue for Swansea City.  

With other clubs working to overcome the repercussions of economic downfall and a lack of income, the latest two-year contract will help to bring financial security to Swansea City.
 
Club Vice-Chairman Leigh Dineen commented on the new partnership, indicating that the deal ‘shows how far Swansea City has come’.

Dineen further noted that while other companies showed an interest in coming on board as shirt sponsor, 32Red presented the best deal. It was also revealed that 32Red had been considering other clubs, including a few in the Premiership.

Dineen summed the deal up nicely by pointing out that Swansea City is now a Championship club with a Premiership sponsor.  
 
CEO Ed Ware indicated that 32Red is ‘thrilled’ to join Swansea City as a shirt sponsor, even though the company logo will not be permitted to appear on chidren’s shirts.
